"The foot is a complex mechanical structure made up of 26 bones and 33 joints and over 100 muscles, tendons and ligaments and nerve connected to it. Therefore when looking at foot problems, the area at which the problem presents is key for identifying the cause the issue. An in-depth knowledge of anatomy and foot  function allows a musculoskeletal (MSK) podiatrist to assess, diagnose and treat MSK conditions".
